It's time to know about some interesting facts about animals/mammals/insects
Hippos
When they are upset, their sweat turns Red

Tiger
Tigers not only have stripes on their fur, they also have them on their skin. No two tigers ever have the same strips.
Butterfly
Butterflies have two compound eyes consisting of thousands of lenses, yet they can only see the colours red, green and yellow.
African Elephants
African elephants are the largest of Earth's land mammals. Their enormous ears help them to keep cool in the hot African climate
Lions
The roar of a lion can be heard from 8 kilometers (5.0 miles) away.
Cheetah
Cheetahs are the only big cat that cannot roar. The can purr though and usually purr most loudly when they are grooming or sitting near other cheetahs.
Giraffe
Giraffes are ruminants. This means that they have more than one stomach. In fact, giraffes have four stomachs, the extra stomachs assisting with digesting food
Frogs
Frogs actually use their eyes to help them swallow food. When the frog blinks, its eyeballs are pushed downwards creating a bulge in the roof of its mouth. This bulge squeezes the food inside the frog's mouth down the back of its throat.
Sharks
Sharks lay the biggest eggs in the world.
Jellyfish
Jellyfish don’t have brains
Polar bear
Despite the white, fluffy appearance of Polar Bears fur, it actually has black skin.
Dogs
Dogs have a remarkable sense of smell, they are capable of differentiating odors in concentrations nearly 100 million times lower than humans can

Fun post! I love learning more about our animal brothers and sisters. I definitely didn't know that about hippo's sweat turning red when they're upset! Or about the butterflies only seeing three colors (how do scientists figure THAT out, I wonder?)
Jellyfish sure are beautiful, and I only just learned that about frogs using their eyes to help them swallow from a wildlife photographer's post about toads a couple of weeks ago!
